Let’s talk about something that’s been quietly simmering in many creative hearts:
The pressure of showing up on social media. Every. Single. Day.
If you've ever found yourself dreading another Instagram caption, questioning whether you’re posting for people or just to please the algorithm, or wondering if success can exist outside of Reels and hashtags... you’re not alone.
I’ve been there. In fact, that’s exactly why I decided to stop showing up on Instagram and start showing up more for myself — and for you — in a way that felt real.
Why I Chose to Step Back from Instagram
Instagram started to feel... like a performance.
Like I was constantly waving my arms at a crowded party, shouting, “Hey! Look over here!” just to stay visible. And yes, I do want to sell my products — I’m building a business, after all.
But I want to do it in a way that feels authentic and connected. Not salesy. Not burnt out. Not like I’m posting more for the algorithm than for actual humans. And if it doesn’t light me up — how could it inspire anyone else?
Enter: Pinterest (aka My Business BFF)Pinterest is where I found space to breathe again. Because Pinterest isn’t a social network — it’s a search engine dressed up in a vision board. That means:
My posts don’t vanish after 24 hours. I don’t have to perform — I get to create. I can focus on long-term value instead of quick likes. I’m building a library of content that works for me while I sleep.
It’s honestly a breath of fresh (creative) air. And the best part? It gave me more time and headspace to pour energy into what I love most — writing thoughtful blog posts, crafting beautiful digital products, and connecting with my community through my newsletter.
So, Is Social Media Necessary to Be Successful? Not in the way we’ve been taught. You don’t have to go viral to be valuable. You don’t have to post every day to be professional.
And you definitely don’t have to sacrifice your peace for performance. What you do need?
Consistency, clarity, and a strategy that works for you. Pinterest is my gentle, long-game approach.
My way of showing up without the overwhelm.
Of staying visible while staying true to my values. And that, to me, is success with a soul.
If you’re dreaming of a softer, smarter way to grow your business — you’re in good company.
Let’s ditch the noise, build with intention, and sprinkle a little more color into the way we work.
Smart Business. Happy Life.
